Companies Are Not Considerate About Health of Employees

Health-of-EmployeesA majority of employees in the United States and Canada have confessed that their employers are not much supportive, especially to help them in health issues. However, there are many companies that claim to offer excellent workplace health services along with financial incentives in order to improve the health of their employees, exposed a latest study.

In addition, the study has also exposed that huge employees’ population, in both the countries, is seeking more help and support from their employees in order to keep their health good. In the report, a human resource consulting and outsourcing firm, Aon Hewitt, notified that more than 60% of working class believes that their employer company is offering a moderate help for health related issues.

While commenting on the research findings, the President of a nonprofit policy research organization situated in Estero, Fla, the Center for Health Value Innovation, Cyndy Nayer, said: “This is an emerging trend that allows the employer to more carefully manage and guide a family to better health, including a focus on chronic care management and reduction in health care costs”.

Before suggesting the findings, researchers have carried out a survey with several organizations and observed that most of the surveyed companies have a common opinion that their employee stress is a significant growing business issue. Besides this, it was also observed that many organizations are looking forward to consider organizational health strategies, most probably for the upcoming two years in order to include a focus on mental as well as physical health.

Excessive work pressure, lack of work/life balance, unclear or conflicting job expectations and inadequate staffing were observed as top sources of workplace stress.
