Nationals Giving Strong Competition to the Government

Nationals Giving Strong Competition to the GovernmentFinding it the best opportunity to put down the Labour Government, Nationals were of the view that Labour government has done nothing to cure children stricken with rheumatic fever.

While announcing their health plans for New Zealand residents, they affirmed that they would chalk out strategies in such a manner that there should be les but impactful health measures.

National spokesman for health, Tony Ryall said he seems that Labour did nothing except announcing health deals for last nine years. Number of children affected with rheumatic fever kept on increasing, but they did nothing but talked.

Ryall said, “Rheumatic fever in our population was at third world levels all during Labour's term. Yet it has taken a National government to find the $12 million for a large rheumatic fever prevention programme in the worst affected areas”.

Nationals said they have managed to get 91% of the two-year-old children to receive the vaccine against rheumatic fever where in last nine years, Labour managed to cover a mere 70%. Ryall said it would not take them much time to cross 95% mark.

It seems there is a whole sort of list with Nationals against Labour. Ryall said that in order to prevent rheumatic fever among kids, they have started giving vaccination to kids before they step in to their respective schools.

Warm Up New Zealand is the name of program under which Nationals are giving vaccination to children. They were of the view that it is not a long time now that they have started this programme and have already checked
100,000 children.

It would not be the last program, and they would soon be introducing other programmes in regard to improve diet and physical activity among kiwi children. For this, they would be spending $65 million and another $20 million would be spent on the Kiwisport initiative.
