Window Cord Makes Two-Year-Old Girl Suffer DisabilityAfter witnessing an incident, the family of Emily Warner, who was found strangled in the cord of a window blind, has asked not to use window blinds in kids’ room.

Emily, the two-year-old girl was put to bed by her parents and they left the room. But, Emily got up after some time and started trying to climb over the window, and accidentally she met got trapped in window’s blind cord.

Her father witnessed her hanging when he passed the room and immediately, he asked his wife to call for ambulance. Meanwhile, he tried to revive her. Immediately, paramedics arrived at scene and helped stabilize the girl. For one week, she remained in coma and now, it has been found that she has been left disabled for life.

That little toddler, who used to walk by herself, would not be able to walk on her feet nor would she be able to eat anything of herself. Doctors said that it happened due to scarcity of oxygen in the brain.

It has not been first time that a toddler has met such kind of incidents. Earlier in 1999, more than 18 children lost their life. Her mother Tracy broke down and affirmed, “She had got the cord tangled around her neck. I want other parents to be aware of how dangerous blinds can be. Please check them. If it saves just one life it will be worth it”.

Tracy, who even has a four-year-old son James, went with her husband to check the noise that was coming from James room. It was then they got to know about the incident, otherwise they would not have even checked her and she might have died.

Emily’s grandmother Valerie Bell was of the view that their family has spoiled. She knows that Emily would never behave normally again.
