A research concluded that mother whose child has died immediately after birth, is expected to deliver a stillborn in her next pregnancy as well.

It has also said that woman, who had still born is more likely to have the same next time as well. A still born is the one, who dies after the 20th week of pregnancy. Researchers were of the view that they have followed over 320,000 women. After following them they have found that women, whose kids die before they get of one year, have three times more chance to deliver their second baby as still born.

On the contrary, those who had still born in their earlier pregnancy but not in first, the chances are less in comparison to the above ones. It shows that woman, whose child lived for few months, is at greater risk of delivering still born.

South Florid University Professor, Dr. Hamisu Salihu said, "What we're trying to do is, look at women's history and see if we can identify mothers who are likely to be at higher risk of stillbirth". Therefore, it has been recommended that women, who pass through this stage, should be counseled before she plans her second pregnancy.

Till now, scientists are not able to predict the real ceases of still birth, but two reasons, which are said to be the probable causes, are obesity and drinking. Some other measures, which are said to be linked with stillbirth, are high BP and diabetes. These problems take the role of serious one, when the BP or diabetes gets hyper in the pregnancy period.

A tip that has been offered by Hamishu is, expecting mothers should be regular wither their doctor's appointments. The research has got published in the obstetrics journal BJOG, and it has revealed that Black women are at greater risk.
