Time is such that now children of 10 year would sit across their parents, and would smoke drugs like marijuana and cannabis. As much as 3500 complaints have been registered in which children below 15 were found to be involved in drug related offenses. These figures are for last three years, and in comparison to prior case, only 1100 complaints in relation to alcohol offense have been found.

One of the major reasons for this wide gap is that alcohol is costlier than drugs, therefore, teenagers find drugs to be more convenient. It should be considered as an alarm for the government as well for the parents and health experts. Best thing, the government could do is to completely ban the availability of drugs, and strict punishments should be given to youths, who would be found to be intoxicated.

Cannabis is said to be a quite economic drug and same is with marijuana, as they could be get for 20 dollars per gram. And, there is not much difficulty in finding such drugs, like kids could easily get it from their elder siblings, or elder pals.

Therefore, the main problem is it’s readily availability, and till the time its accessibility would not be controlled, nothing could be done as laws would be put, but no positive result would be derived. It is very important not only to ban drugs but also to put across a thought that these drugs would only give them disadvantage, and nothing else.
