Stating her surmise over stamped out super clinic, Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon has shielded a Government showdown to slough a GP super clinic sworn by the Government for Darwin.
Earlier in 2010, Labor declared establishment of a super clinic worth $5 million for Darwin’s northern region during election campaigns.
But, Ms. Roxon has said that due to lack of interest on part of various organizations for operating the facility, it seems like the idea will have to be dumped under garbage.
However, she refuted any scarcity of consciousness regarding the project that might have laid the foundation for disaster of the promised super clinic. Whatever it is, one thing goes without saying; the unfortunate demise of the super clinic in Darwin will offer nothing in terms of health benefits for the northern suburban region of the city.
In her dialogue, Ms. Roxon stressed on the verity that a recent public conference, which served its purpose of discussion on the efficacy of health facilities being offered in the region, marked urgency for submission and wake-up call in order to notify everyone regarding the prevailing chaos in offering health facilities to the region.
The nation’s leading peak doctors' group has recently inked a petition to the Auditor-General pleading him to probe into the GP super clinics programme of the Federal Government. The decision of instigating an inquest, which was instigated by the Australian Medical Association (AMA), has narrowly followed Health Minister Nicola Roxon announcement regarding demise of a planned super clinic in the northern suburbs of Darwin.
