It has been revealed, according to a recent reports, that health facilities in Greece has seen a downturn, mainly due to the economic crisis that seems to see no end soon.

The patients have to wait for long hours to receive help, which is usually delayed. Doctors are relentlessly working in shifts, to meet the needs of the people, but are finding it hard to come up with the growing number of patients. On the other hand, the economic stress is such that patients are finding it difficult to pay their bills for tests on time.

The worst part is that there is no sort of infrastructure left with the country to help these people in need. "There is no infrastructure to help these people. On every front the system has failed the people it was meant to serve", said Dr. Michael Samarkos.

This is the first time the people of the nation have had to pay for the country's falling economic status with their health. It is essential that some quick measures are taken to avoid future trouble for the people. They need funds to support their medical bills and this can be done only when the economy reaches a stable position.
