Fatima Gaith and Mira Al Seiri, studying at the College of Communication and Media at Zayed University in Dubai brought laurel to the university by creating a new programming service for mobile telephone usage.
The program would be commercialized by Zero Wire Lab, a Canadian company, specialized in programming and network systems. The application would see the BlackBerry, iPhone and other mobile phones using the program in the coming times.
Dr Sulaiman Al Jasem, director of Zayed University congratulated the students for their achievements and pledged every possible support for their future ventures. He attributed the achievement to University's staff, academic environment and quality education offered in the campus.
The program which was their graduate project of two students would be highlighted in a media and in various campuses for the inspiration of prospective students. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research also congratulated the students and university for this outstanding achievement and hoped that future students would come up with innovative and excellent projects.
He assured every possible support by the government to nurture innovative skills of students.
