Oman Telecommunications Co (Omantel) has posted an increasing trend in the third-quarter net profit. The company has recorded a net profit of 32.8 million rials (USD85.21 million), up 1.86% from a year earlier.

In the first nine months of current financial year, company’s net profit figure stood at 105.8 million rials as compared with 107.4 million rials clocked in the comparable period in 2008.

In a declaration, the company said that its revenue for the nine months to September 30 has witnessed a downward trend of 1.2% to 303.8 million rials compared with previous year.

However, company’s operating expenses surged 3.6% to 190.3 million.
