According to a recent announcement, health records of patients would now be kept in form of e-records. Health Minister Nicola Roxon is of the view that this new amendment shall make things much easier for the people of the area.
This new health record keeping technique would be able to reduce time and effort spent in keeping records manually. She further added that this would be an accurate system for record-keeping and be of help to the patients as well as authorities.
When there were concerns raised on the security this new type of e-health system would provide, she added that this is a secure way as it is going to be safeguarded and the law breakers will be made to pay huge penalties for the same.
It was essential to note here that se added that there shall be a penalty of as much as $13,200 a breach. This would ensure that the system is safe and not tampered with. Further, it was added that there is going to be increment in the fine if there was continuous breach registered by someone.
It would be a tech savvy way of saving money and effort of officials for reports that can be stored for long.
