This new revelation has been made by a new research which also concluded that in comparison to men, women are at a lesser risk to develop type-2 diabetes, as they do gain weight but more at thighs and buttocks, which does not affect liver and muscles.

Type- 2 diabetes is a condition in which body sugar level gets disturbed due to fat deposition in some vital body organs like liver and muscles. Naveed Sattar led the research from the Institute of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences. He affirmed that when younger lot is compared to old army then younger lot, it was found to be fit and danger surround the middle aged men to have type-2 diabetes. And, this statement has been proved by early researches as well.

He explained the reason for women to be at lower risk is that women now a days, have gone calorie conscious irrespective of age and they follow a strict regime which encloses regular exercise and balanced diet.

To reach to above given conclusion, a test was conducted in Scotland.
