Dubai Metro retail units offered 195 retail units for rentThe Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offered 195 Dubai Metro retail units on rent, including 116 retail outlets on the Red Line stations and a further 79 outlets on the Green Line. These retail unites would offer unique business opportunities to retailers given to the quantum of crowd gathered at Metro Station.

Adnan Al Hamadi, CEO of the RTA's Rail Agency, said that retail unites are primarily meant for restaurants, cafes, groceries, supermarkets, confectionaries, bookshops, flower shops, beauty parlours in addition to selling points for accessories, electronics, telecommunication systems and others.

He added, "They are expected to attract a wide spectrum of international brands, and accordingly boost the existing partnership between the RTA and private sector businesses."

Rail Agency of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that as many as 106,000 passengers used the Dubai Metro's new Green Line over the first two days of operation, indicating great business potential at the station. The passenger number could raise about 100,000 passengers daily over the remainder of 2011.

CEO of RTA Rail Agency Adnan Al Hamadi told, "The retail outlets of the Dubai Metro stations offer a host of diverse goods, products and services in areas ranging from 8 to 645 square meters, depending on the nature of the commercial activity and the location within the station.”
