Recent reports have revealed that Circadian Technologies has filed an application for a drug to the Food and Drug Administration from U. S. This is to urge them to start clinical tests for the drug which would probably be able to treat cancer.

This trail shall include tests to be conducted on various last stage patients of cancer, to test the authenticity of the drug. The drug is of the view that the s drug needs to undergo a few more trials and tests in order to be proved feasible and safe and useful. The firm is of the hope that they could develop the drug and make it useful for treating solid tumors. The name of the drug is VGX-100 and it shall be able to treat colorectal cancer and glioblastoma.

The working of the drug is such that it blocks the growth of the lymphatics in the body. It was further revealed that the firm has already invested in developing about 100 molecules of the drug for the purpose of toxicology studies, manufacturing and a number of other activities before the drug can be launched.

"We expect to commence our first in man Phase I studies as soon as possible after FDA review. We also expect to see results from the study in the second half of 2012”, revealed Robert Klupacs from the Circadian Technologies.
