The United Arab Emirates (UAE) advised Iran to solve all pending issues over the three Gulf islands through dialogue in order to avoid unnecessary tension between two nations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the country has last option to approach the International Court of Justice for settling the issue.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed termed Abu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs as integral parts of the nation reflecting the territorial sovereignty of the UAE. He came down heavily on Iran for alleged infringement of international laws by Iran for changing the demographic scene of the region.
Addressing the United States General Assembly on Monday, Sheikh Abdullah also touched a large number of issues pertaining to Muslims and the Muslim World. He also highlighted Palestinian salvo and recent events in Bahrain, Libyan regime change, violence in Yemen and Syria.
