It has been reported that in the coming week Eastern Courier Messenger in collaboration with mental health website mindshare will be launching a campaign to launch Open Your Mind. The aim of the campaign will be to improve the quality of life of those who are suffering from mental illness.

The campaign will be joined by Adam Gould who has written two magnificent books over mental wellness named “Fade to Black and Disappear and The Anatomy of Construction (1100)”. It has been informed that in the campaign, Mr. Gould be taking up the role of making people aware of how a mentally impaired person can harm his own mental capabilities.

The campaign is open for all those who wish to share their real life story and struggle with mental disorders. While commenting upon the kind of life lived by a mentally challenged person, Mr. Gould said that for them working from living a normal life isn’t possible. The worse part of mentally ill patients is that their recovery is not guaranteed.

However, there is a peculiar nature in a mentally ill people, says Mr. Gould who has also suffered turbulent mental problems during childhood. According to him, if a mentally ill person is cared well, there are higher chances of them taking up profession of writing, music, art, etc.
