Now there is a solution to advanced stage breast cancer. Scientists recently have established a treatment named T-Dm1, which instead of the basic chemotherapy treatment includes the combination of drug Herceptin along with an antibody drug. According to researchers, this treatment is far more effective and it tends to impede the disease from within.

Trials for this drug treatment are on and therefore, with an aim to bring spanking new hopes to the women suffering from an advanced stage breast cancer, numerous patients from North East are trying to participate in the trials worldwide.

It has also been revealed yesterday night that this treatment is capable of fighting all the forms of breast cancer.

Till now, the patients that are taking part in these trials are from Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital, the Christie Hospital in Manchester and the Royal Bournemouth General Hospital.

As deemed by scientists, with the success of this treatment over advanced staged patients, the drug will also be used to alleviate women with former stages of the disease.

Also, it has been showed by the researchers that if this drug is applied to women suffering from HER2, which is considered as one of the most insistent form of breast cancer, then as compared to the usual drugs, this treatment will slower down the progression of cancer by five more months.
