Conservation fund for saving endangered speciesThe Mohammad Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund will help to conserve the endangered species and in turn help to maintain balance in the nature. Many animal and birds species are facing threat of extinction due to loss of their natural habitat and increase activities of hunting. A leading fund manager cautioned against natural havoc in case of disturbance in food chain.

Nicolas Heard, head of fund management at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund added that it is the top priority of the agency to prevent species dying down. The conservation fund is meant for preserving endangered animal and plant species from extinction. It provides funds and grants from saving the plant and animal species.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces donated about Dh127 million for the noble cause. The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex) this year will see various initiatives undertaken by the Conservation Fund.

Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, the fund's managing director and secretary general of the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi promised to provide funds for animal and plant species outshone by other environmental concerns like climate change.
