Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority launched new initiative for immunization of livestock. The nationwide campaign is aimed to mitigate the possibility of disease in livestock and to improve their productivity. Livestock breeders would be educated about the nutritional benefits of concentrated fodder through this program.
Khalifa Ahmad Al Ali, Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority said that the body is committed to provide an outstanding level of veterinary services and qualified staff to the farmers. ADFCA will hold a number of programs throughout the emirates educating people about various diseases that may affect livestock.
Mohammed Jalal Al Reyaysa, Director of Communications and Community Service at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority said that the body will do everything possible for preventing diseases among livestock by applying best international standards and procedures to boost immunity and combat external parasites.
He added, "The prevention of diseases will lead to an improvement in the quality of animal products, promoting confidence in the local production of livestock, and helping to lift the image of the livestock production industry to one that makes a real and crucial contribution to the nation's food security."
