It was during an unusual spa treatment that an eel got inside the bladder of a man. The name of the man is Zhang Nan, and he is 56-years-old. He is from Hubei region and was taking a bath with live eels as part of his spa treatment. This is when one of the eels penetrated his penis, while trying to nibble away the dead skin layer of the body.

This spa treatment is similar to fish pedicures that are more common. It was when he experienced sudden sharp pain that he realized that the eel had glided its way through his bladder. He tried to pull it back, but it disappeared slowly inside the penis of the man and into his bladder.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where the eel was removed from his body with help of a complex surgery.

"I climbed into the bath and I could feel the eels nibbling my body. But then suddenly I felt a severe pain and realized a small eel had gone into the end of my penis", the 56-year-old from Honghu, Hubei province said.
