Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority hailed the efforts of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company ‘Masdar’ for its initiatives in the field in the field of renewable energy and clean technology. He acknowledged the role of the firm for adopting best practices in order to bring about energy diversification.

Shaikh Majid earlier toured Masdar on Wednesday where he got warm welcome from Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chief Executive of Masdar. Professors and students brief him various research projects undertaken by them in their attempt to bring about energy conservation.

He also visited the ‘Clean Rooms’ used by the Microsystems Engineering researchers for their masters program in the areas of semiconductor devices and fabrication technologies in addition to new electronic and photonic circuits.

Shaikh Majid said expressed satisfaction on the work and promised to extend every possible support for new ventures.

Shaikh Majid said: “I take great pride in witnessing first-hand the impressive efforts and the high level of professionalism of Masdar. More so in Masdar’s ability, in such a short period of time, to make a name for itself in the renewable energy and clean technology sectors both locally and globally.”
