Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) conducted its first ever road show in India apparently for wooing Indian customers. The road show was conducted in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. A large number of companies such as Etihad Airways, MSC Cruises, Rocco Forte Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Aloft Abu Dhabi, DBA & Sons Travels & Tours, Al Masaood Holidays and the Grand Continental Flamingo Hotel Abu Dhabi participated in the road show.
The tourism body is targeting the MICE, FIT and family segments in India by developing strong ties with Indian trade. Dayne Lim Kok Chun, Product Development Division Director, ADTA added that B2B relations are of paramount importance for the firm in order to expand its market share. The authority is yet to decide as to have office or marketing representatives in Indian cities for exploring better opportunities in India.
He went on to add, “Abu Dhabi is a multi-faceted destination, both for leisure and business travelers with world class infrastructure and a mix of heritage and modern amenities. We want the Indian market to be more aware of Abu Dhabi's dynamic tourism-driven product deliveries within the next six months.”
