African-Americans Develop Blood Pressure Problems Quicker

Blood-PressureIt has been revealed according to a recent research that African–American People are more prone to developing high blood pressure problems than their white counterparts.

The research team revealed that African-American people are more prone to developing diseases like hypertension and blood pressure problems. They are actually prone to having this disease about a year earlier than their white counterparts.

"The fact that African-Americans progress faster to hypertension has a direct link to the higher prevalence of hypertension and its complications, such as stroke and kidney disease, in blacks than whites”, revealed Anbesaw Selassie, from the South Carolina Medical University.

Prehypertension is a condition where people tend to become more likely and vulnerable to hypertension. Someone suffering from continuous high blood pressure levels, are said to have hypertension.

Research conducted in the past has also revealed that African-Americans are at a higher risk of heart diseases and strokes than the people with white skin. It has further been revealed that there is need for better improvised and vigorous methods for the treatment of their diseases, than the white skin people.

They should also be asked to lose weight and develop a healthy lifestyle so as to cut the risk of diseases.
