His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai underlined the importance of education in the prevailing global scenario and urged the educators to join hands for making the government’s education plans successful. The education policy, it is recalled, was approved during recently held meeting of the cabinet.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed the views while inaugurating the 2011-2012 edition of the Annual Education Conference, attended by a large number of principals and staff. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai also echoed similar sentiments while attending the conference.

Shaikh Mohammad addressed the educationists from the education sector and directed Humaid Mohammad Al Qutami, Minister of Education to provide regular updates on education sector so that corrective and advance steps could be taken for the betterment of education sector.

Shaikh Mohammad articulated, "We appreciate your work and effort, and consider you pioneers in the field of education. Your work is acknowledged and also appreciated by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as the students and their parents."
