It has been revealed, according to a recent survey, that people in Australia are becoming more and more obese every day, but they are in constant denial of it. It is one of the places where obesity is on a constant rise and people are living in constant denial of it. They are unhappy, lethargic and in need for help.
The research is of the view that most people in Australia weigh more than they ought to, what's more, they don't accept it. These revelations have been made according to an international study. These studies have been conducted in 12 countries and included 1300 people.
"Sixty per cent of Australians are overweight or obese but only about 30 per cent realize they are, so half of the Australians who are overweight don't realize they are", said Dr. Bert Boffa, the Head of Medical Services at BUPA.
It is essential people understand the need for a fit body as they might be prone to a number of complicated diseases due to being overweight. The survey also reveals that men are less likely to go to hospitals for the cure of their obesity related problems.
