A new `smart bomb' drug has been made by medical researchers in Bradford in the north of England that will aid in curing cancer.

Cancer is on a rise world over and it can spread to almost any part of the body like skin, brain, liver, colon etc. and this has been a great news for a lot of people.

Tumors are figured out by this drug and then the cancerous cells are destroyed by the new drug developed by Institute of Cancer Therapeutics, ICT, University of Bradford.

Here is an official statement from ICT by Professor Laurence Patterson, "What we've designed is, effectively, a `smart bomb' that can be targeted directly at any solid tumor to kill it without appearing to harm healthy tissue."

There were tests conducted in mice and it was seen that with a single dose, about 50 per cent of mice showed a complete tumor remission and the tests have been done on five different types of cancers like breast, colon, lung, sarcoma and prostate and there are almost no side-effects also with the use of this drug.
