Emiratisation, education strategy gets cabinet nodThe Union Cabinet has approved the national emiratisation policy aimed at providing better and priority based employment opportunities to the local Emirati youths. The cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai discussed a wide range of issues including education and employment for youths.

The Cabinet approved a 10-point education agenda to be implemented by the Cabinet until 2020 besides endorsing the strategy of the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) for 2011-2013.

Shaikh Mohammad invited public opinion by posting the strategy on website before taking any decision. People have shown a great deal of interest in various issues such as school curriculums, capabilities of the educational authorities, pupil and school evaluation, and national identity.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his willingness to have annual training programs for youths in order to enhance employment opportunities both in public and private sector. He urged all concerned to unify their efforts for meeting the growing aspirations of people.
