It has been revealed according to recent reports that scientists have found new genes that effect blood pressure of a person. This research was conducted by the able team of scientists and they have revealed that it is like a mere part of the greater picture. They were of the view that this new development might be able to prove helpful in finding cures for the disease.
The 28 DNA sequences have revealed various facts about blood pressure fluctuations in the human body. These developments have been made by the scientist at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
It was analyzed by the members of the International Consortium and the samples for studies from as many as 275, 000 people from all over the world. They also found a link between these genes and an essential pathway in the control of blood pressure. This might lead to a whole new opening in the way hypertension drugs are made.
"Seeing that the blood pressure variants in aggregate lead to stroke and heart attack was perhaps not surprising, given the evidence that blood pressure treatment lowers these risks", said Christopher Newton-Cheh from the Cardiovascular Research Centre. He further added that these new developments might be able to help in developing better cure for the disease.
