Violence that is fuelled by drinking excessively will now be controlled as there is a ban being planned on advertisements of alcohol in South Africa.

Reports have stated that a healthier lifestyle is the key to better lives and excessive alcohol just worsens the affair thus an attempt to curb alcohol is being made.

According to Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, South Africa is suppose to a regular for foreign experts coming in to learn to deal with wounds of injury and violence because the crime rate here is highest in the world and this is something that needs to be controlled now.

It was added by the minister, “The driving factor behind this is alcohol, the harmful effects of alcohol. We're not going to pull back about the issue of alcohol control, including the banning on advertising of alcohol. 'It's just a matter of time - it's not an issue of whether, it's an issue of when.”

After HIV the main reason for deaths in South Africa are violence and injuries. This was beibg stated at a conference by the World Health Organisation on violence prevention.
