Research has stated that women who consume an alcoholic drink everyday have a healthier old age as compared to women who do not drink at all.
Anything from a glass of wine, a beer pint or spirit’s single measure can do the task.
A study was conducted on about 14000 women and a link between alcohol in moderate amount and good health was established. Even heavy drinkers were found at the receiving end than moderate drinkers.
Researchers said that rather than drinking it all over the weekend, it was better to drink little throughout the week.
As compared to occasional drinkers, regular drinkers were better off.
There was a 28 per cent more chances to ageing in a healthier way among women in their mid-50s who drank 15-30g of alcohol. This simply meant an old age free of heart diseases, cancer and diabetes.
As compared to women who do not drink at all, women who indulged in moderate alcohol five to seven days a week, had better health.
But do not over indulge as researchers added that moderation was important and over indulgence meant poor health.
