Global Consultancy Ernst & Young has notified that the Dubai’s Hotel business has spotted 10.5% annual rise in July 2011.
Last year in July 2010, the tenancy was 70.3% and it has increased to 80.8% in July 2011.
Also, it has been notified that average rental rates of the rooms have increased by 6.2% annually. The room rent was $149 for 24 hours in July 2010, and has now gone up to $158 in July 2011.
The tenancy in Abu Dhabi’s hotels has increased by 2 points, as it was 69 % in July 2011 and this year it was observed at 71%. However, in the UAE capital the standard room rates have gone down from $161 to $148, a decrease of 8%.
If to talk about the other cities like Bahrain’s Manama: the tenancy of the hotels has been following a downward trend which has reduced by 5% and is stuck at 43%. The standard rates of room were at $156, down 20.2%.
Cairo, the capital of Egypt, has been witnessing gloomy conditions in Hotel business as the tenancy has gone down by 33.2%. It was 72.3% in July 2010 and their average room rate dipped a little by 3.4%.
