UAE to provide cooking gas at competitive prices

People in 4 of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates are all set to get cooking gas supply at the same rate as that of liquefied petroleum gas in Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution is all set to offer gas at competitive prices as told by Arabian Business in its latest report.

Mr Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan president of UAE told that people in Ajman, Ras al Khaimah, Umm al Qaiwan and Fujairah localities will get gas at a subsidized price of AED 20 in cylinders weighing 25 pounds. The move follows the directives of the His Highness President who dreams of comfortable and decent living of all citizens.

The UAE’s five northern emirates did not get due advantage of Abu Dhabi’s vast oil wealth due to lack of uniformity in developments. Dubai made adequate advance of oil wealth and reported the world's eighth highest per capita income at USD 47,000.

UAE apparently turned its face toward its poorer emirates Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah and Umm al Quwain spend AED 5.7 billion for brining uniformity in development across entire emirates.
