meatScientists have expressed enthusiasm to create synthetic meat in laboratory and emerged an opportunity for the vegetarians to enjoy the meat without facing embarrassment of killing an animal. However, the idea has triggered a series of arguments, some supporting the concept and others opposing it badly.

The concept of synthetic meat is an energy sufficient process that causes minimum pollution, and also consumes less real estate as compared to contemporary or traditional farming techniques, and therefore, is believed to cast positive impact on environment. Besides its non toxic effects on climate, the technique is also believed to play a role to reduce the global warming.

Individuals who speak in favor of advancement of technology have encouraged the idea to test tube burgers, although consumption of these burgers is still doubtful. The lab meat will have the attributes of natural meat excluding color and there has been tagged as "anaemic and unappetizing".

On the other hand, vegetarians have denied the idea and said: "The systems currently in development still make significant use of animals so are unlikely to be able to create a truly vegetarian product, and questions remain about the environmental impact of industrial-scale production and, of course, effective labeling”.
