It was a fun time for a large number of people and officials gathered last night during the screening of a documentary film pertaining to UAE armed forces. Everybody enjoyed the film that filled them with patriotic colors by reminding them the hard time spent by armed forces in Afghanistan during trouble hours.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces also enjoyed the 30-minute documentary chronicles that describes humanitarian face of the UAE government. Armed forced helped Agani people by providing them necessary aid and supporting their economic development.
Sheikhs, senior government officials Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE and a large number of dignitaries also enjoyed the documentary and no one left without praising the commendable job done by the armed forces during the crisis period of eight years.
The UAE Office for the Coordination of Foreign Aid claimed that the country committed more than Dh1.26 billion to Afghanistan in 2009. Most o the money was spent on transport, construction activities and infrastructure.
The documentary will be broadcast on Abu Dhabi Al Emarat TV tomorrow at 1am and 1.30pm.
