It has been reported that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will again be seeking treatment for cancer in Cuba. Earlier, in the month of June, he underwent for a cancer surgery at Cuba but unfortunately his cancer has appeared once again.

It has been reported that in Cuba, Chavez will be seeking various tests. On 28th of July, Chavez celebrated his 57th birthday. While addressing the crowd on his birthday, he informed that he will be going to Cuba for a period of five days.

Before leaving for Cuba, the President delegated some of his authorities to the vice- president and Finance minister. This is for the first time in his 12 years of tenure when he has delegated his responsibilities.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that with the pursuit of improving the conditions in the violent and overcrowded prisons, Venezuela has freed more than 2,000 inmates. It has come to light that the South American country's penal system has the right of keeping only 13,000 prisoners but at present, it is holding 50,000.

Opposing the step taken of freeing inmates, the opposition party showed their fear of crime rate being at a high in the country. Venezuela already has highest crime rates in the country and it is believed that the country has made a blunder by freeing its prisoners.
