Nature is More Important than Lifestyle, Claims Study

LifestyleAccording to US researcher’s study, eating, smoking, exercising and drinking, factors were not the main contributing factors affecting the quality of life of aged people.

They further claimed that in fact, certain magical genes were the top secret, due to which, these individuals lived a prosperous life span and only few fortunate individuals were born with these genetic materials.

For the rationale of their study target, the researchers made the claim after they decided to track almost 500 centenarians, from the age group of 95-109 and they asked them to explain their daily routines.

After the question- answer session, they evaluated the answers with one more group, who existed with a usual livelihood.

The researchers concluded that if lifestyle was more significant than heredity genes, the results surely would have exposed the fact that, as compared to others, the centenarians smoked less and led healthy life lives but the result were vice-versa.

They added that, according to their study results, due to the lucky genetic material, these men and women were able to live a hale and hearty life.

Sharing his views, with the Daily Mail, Nir Barzilai, from New York’s Albert Einstein Medical College and the study researcher, quoted, “This study suggests centenarians may possess additional longevity genes that help to buffer them against the harmful effects of an unhealthy lifestyle".
