Hospital Suspends Consultant Pediatrician

After the tragic deaths of numerous children who suffered from epilepsy, Dr. Christopher Dibbs, Medical Director of the hospital has finally suspended Dr. Driver.

Dr. Driver, who was designated as the consultant pediatrician, had been suspended because he was charged with the allegations, which proved that he did not provided the right care to the epileptic children as a result of which they were found dead.

Meanwhile, Dr. Christopher Dibbs, Medical Director of the Royal Surrey County hospital, supported him and urged that he is a hard-working and devoted doctor and the death claims are bogus.

He further advised that without asking for expert’s suggestion, the children pills details should not be distorted by their parents.

Nick Moberley, Hospital Chief Executive too stated, "Until we have been through the review, we will not be in a position to be clear about what may or may not have happened and we are very sorry to have to put families in a position that is very stressful and upsetting”.

On the other hand, the department had decided that now an independent expert would be reviewing his cases and for the victims of the issue, hospital had also started a committed helpline - 01483 408379.
