Julphar, leading UAE's Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries has announced that it will soon commence producing an H1N1 vaccine early in year 2010.

Functionaries of Julphar stated in a communiqué that the company will begin production after getting the technology and raw materials required for the vaccine in January.

The sources informed that last week Julphar had purchased exclusive rights to make an H1N1 vaccine from China's Hualan Biological.

The company has informed that it will seek to market the single-shot vaccine, which has been sanctioned by Chinese health authorities, in the Middle East as well as North Africa.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries is a public shareholding conglomerate based in Ras Al Khaimah. The major activity of the company is to manufacture medicines, drugs and medicinal compounds.
