Mother’s Nutrition Could Prevent Child from Having Cancer

Mother’s Nutrition Could Prevent Child from Having CancerIt is known that the lifestyle habits of a mother have direct effect on the infant. It has been revealed, in a recent report, that the vitamin B present in the diet of the mother might be able to reduce the risk of gut cancer in the child. It has been revealed with the help of an experiment conducted on mice.

The experiment revealed that that the baby mice were less likely to develop gut cancers if their mothers were rich in vitamin B diet. The colorectal cancer that occurs in humans might be affected when a mother is eating food rich in Vitamin B. Those kids, who were born to mothers with a lower level of this vitamin, were at a higher risk of this disease.

"We saw, by far, the fewest intestinal tumors in the offspring of mothers consuming the supplemented diet”, said Jimmy Crott, senior study author at the HNRCA. Diet supplements are a must for the mother. It not only protects the child from unnecessary infections, but also helps the mother become strong and healthy after pregnancy. Most of the tumors in children are partly due to their mothers not having the right sort of food and nutrition.
