Early HIV Treatments Is Very Essential

HIV-AIDSReports have confirmed that UN HIV/AIDS has requested for an increase in the funds for providing early treatments to people who are suffering from HIV.

Michael Sidibe, Head of the agency, claimed that early treatment of this disease will help to reduce the risk of transmission by 96%.

He also said that the challenges all these years were to access the correct drugs, and deal with the social factors and the stigma associated with this disease.

According to a latest report, it was revealed by UN that there has been 25% reduction in new HIV infections and Aids related deaths in the last 10 years.

This report was published in ahead of the 30th anniversary on Sunday of the first official report on Aids which was released by the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

It was also reported that the General Assembly was to meet at UN headquarters to discuss the epidemic next week, with 20 world leaders and more than 100 ministers to attend.

Statistical reports have revealed that there are 34 million HIV people living in this world at the end of 2010 and almost 30 million have died so far due to this disease.
