The RCMP in the Central Okanagan carried out two marijuana grows operations to control the production of the addictive substance.
The first operation of RCMP was carried out on Monday, at West Kelowna. The RCMP raided a residence on Horizon Drive and found 126 plants in a sophisticated hydroponic grow operations. The police are now searching for the owners of the house, a 43-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.
During the raid, police also found 3.5 pounds of processed marijuana bud and a hydroelectric bypass. Police has revealed that the couple will have to face the charges of production of a controlled substance, theft of hydroelectricity and their possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The second marijuana grow operations of RCMP was conducted on Tuesday, during which the RCMP raided house on Lake Hill Drive and found 676 marijuana plants along with one pound of processed marijuana. In this case, a
25-year-old woman is facing the charges of production of a controlled substance, theft of hydroelectricity and their possession for the purpose of trafficking.
In total the police have seized more than 800 marijuana plants and further investigations in the case are still going on.
