UAE to Preserve Its Intangible Cultural Heritage

The latest reports have suggested that in order to conserve as well as promote the intangible cultural heritage of the nation, more initiatives are being taken by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, director general of ADACH, said: "Today we begin a new phase of our strategy to support UAE heritage, while contributing to cultural dialogue among civilizations and celebrating world diversity."

As per the words of Mazrouei, the projects of ADACH, which are being held for promotion archaeology, arts, architecture, literature, music and cinema, will get more support through this publication.

The articles of the magazine also include those on reviving heritage, traditional and popular arts, African heritage, herbal medicine, oral folklore, and old photographs.

Nasser Al Hemairi, director of the Intangible Heritage Department said: "It revives focus on our great past and how we lost it to enable us to rise once more to the challenges of the future."
