UAE has welcomed the launch of two new eco-friendly engine oils, via which consumers can expect higher fuel efficiency and less pollution.

The Protect Green 5W 40 and Vulcan Green 10W 40 engine oils have sulphated ash and phosphorous in less quantity.

This product has been rolled out by the Enoc International Sales Ltd., a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), making it the first-ever UAE company to initiate 'green' gasoline and diesel engines.

Chief executive of Enoc Group, Saeed Abdullah Khoory, said that the company envisions these new products as a part of a pollution-free environment, by maintaining high industry standards.

He added: "Through our green products we aim to make our environment a cleaner place. We take care to ensure that all products manufactured and marketed by us comply with the UAE's emission control standards."

The 'green' lubricants will give protection to the metals, which are found in the exhaust gas treatment. The vehicles, which have exhaust gas emission controls and possess fuels containing less amounts of sulphur, can use these lubricants.
