The deregulation of the market and introduction of competition by the UAE government has helped the country's telecom market grow significantly in past few years. This has been established in a recently-released report, titled "Booming UAE Telecom Sector" by RNCOS, which conducted an in-depth analysis of the country's telecom market.

Telecommunication Regulatory Authority left no stone unturned for the success of telecom market, bringing more completion into the highly competitive telecom sector of UAE. The research reports forecast better prospectus of telecom technologies such as IPTV and Mobile TV in the UAE, based on current and potential outlook of technologies.

The mobile market that surged around 190 per cent in 2008 is set to reach a saturation level, leaving low scope for new players. However, user growth has been still projected over 7 per cent during 2009-2012. Operators are resting on Value Added Services (VAS) and 3G technology to take advantage of saturated market.

Internet services also reported significant rise in the recent past, in line with increasing education and business across the region.
