There has been the discovery of such a drug that could help in prolonging the lives of patients suffering from lung cancer. The drug is supposed to increase the life expectancy of the patients by an additional nine months.

The name of the drug is Tarceva and it is supposed to be useful in helping the patients to live a tad bit longer, in order to make some more memories with their loved ones. Trials were of the revelation that the drug is powerful and can be used to fight against the protein ‘Met’ in the body of the patients.

This is the protein that makes the Cancer spread faster in the body. This drug can fight the protein level of the body, thereby prolonging the life of the patient.

High Met tumors in patients can be fought back for a longer time with the usage of this new drug. According to the lead researcher, Dr. Jesme Fox, the drug might be able to give the patients a little more time and fight their inability.
