Mobily, the largest provider of mobile broadband in Saudi Arabia, has announced an expansion of its WiMax broadband service to Jubaul, Hafr Al-Batin, Sakaka, Ar'ar and Khafji.
The company's expansion comes at a time of runaway demand for its wireless broadband services. Earlier, Mobily has introduced the service to the major cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Dammam, Hafuf and Al-Mobarraz.
A company official stated that Mobily is enhancing the service and increasing bandwidth in areas already covered.
In June, Mobily has signed a deal worth $100m (SR375m) deal with Samsung to roll out WiMAX services in 20 Saudi cities.
