Breast cancer can be kept at bay with coffee

coffeeResearch has stated that breast cancer among women who consume coffee is less likely to take place as compared to women who do not drink coffee at all.

Oestrogen-receptor negative breast cancer is something that is less likely to get developed by women who drink coffee. The amount of coffee taken into consideration is five cups of coffee.

The only option left for such people is chemotherapy as a wide range of drugs do not affect these types of tumors.

Experts from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm had conducted the study in which it was concluded that as compared to women who do not consume coffee, women who drink coffee have lesser chances of developing breast cancer.

About 6000 women were taken into consideration for concluding these findings and these were all past the menopause.

There was a 57 per cent reduced chances of developing breast cancer among women who drank five or more cups a day.

The scientists concluded, “A high daily intake of coffee was found to be associated with a statistically significant decrease in oestrogen-receptor negative breast cancer among post-menopausal women.”
