A recent 2011 UBA Benefit Opinions Survey has revealed an overall picture of the general outlook in public about the proposed universal health insurance plan by Minister for Health James Reilly.
Apparently, the survey considered employer perspectives on Health Care Strategy, Benefits Philosophy and Opinion, Health Plan Management, Personal Health Management, Scope of Benefits Offered and Employee Communications to conclude that despite of a potential burden on the people; consensus has been reached on the universal health insurance plan.
As per reports, about 16.3% are in favor of the proposed health care model, while 99.4% experts have echoed concerns over the fact that rising health care cost are going to overpower corporate cost.
Moreover, the impact on the employees due to rise in health care cost is being significantly factored in the survey conducted. The results showed that a staggering 96.9% employee feel that positive benefits pulls more people into the system and another 93.8% are of the view that positive benefits removes the option of leaving the job.
Though there is percolating concern in the minds of some experts that the proposed plan might follow the controversial Medicare plan which has jinxed the US Congress, survey report is portraying a different perspective of the proposed plan.
