There is going to be the commencement of a new drive in the government hospitals of the vicinity. They are planning to go green. This shall help in making up for the deterioration that has occurred in them over a prolonged period.

This is done as a step to decrease the electricity costs that are being borne by the hospitals. They are working towards saving energy so that it could come in handy for them in future.

Health Minister, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said, “We are working out the rate of payment for companies that embark on the effort. The rate can be based on the amount of energy saved”.

He further added, “Companies should propose the best possible ways to help the Government reduce electricity costs at hospitals”.

Saving electricity in hospitals is a very positive step towards the overall growth and development of the same. There is a need to follow these measures whole-heartedly in order to reap rewards for the same.

“There is a need to station more medical specialists at district hospitals as state hospitals has their hands full”, he added.
