Nenagh Hospital Imposes Ban on Visitors over Virus EpidemicA sense of alarm can be seen at Nenagh General Hospital in Co Tipperary following a report of three cases of C Difficile and one case of Norovirus. Following the sudden reported cases of viruses, authorities have imposed a ban on the movement of regular visitors to the wards of the hospital as a precautionary measure to contain the infection.

Though the inspection check has been ratchet up, hospital management has made an appeal to the general public to restrict their visits to the hospital unless it’s unavoidable. As per the medical experts, norovirus can prove to be serious to the elderly section of the society and hence, cautioned the people to take medical advice seriously.

Meanwhile, the Weston General Hospital has been attacked by an outbreak of norovirus putting the accessibility of three wards under strict check.

As per reports, the hospital had been affected by the same virus just two months back in February, which had demarcated four wards of active operations.

Responding to the severity of the crippled situation, Chris Bryant, Director of hospital services at Weston Area Health NHS Trust, claimed, "Hospital wards are never closed, but it makes sense to restrict new admissions or limit visiting to minimize the risk of spreading, as we are doing at present".
