Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, a new government department combining the transport-related functions of Dubai Police and Dubai Municipality, has signed the Dubai Metro Ads Contract with a consortium of three advertising companies. 

Under the 10-year deal, the consortium, which includes Singapore-based SMRT Media, Kassab Media and Wellmark Communications, will plan the advertising space and attend to design, operation and marketing of media services in Dubai Metro stations and on train carriages. 

The contract covers footbridges, underpasses and pillars of Dubai Metro track, as well as emergency exits and mobile display monitors.
